These no-bake tiramisu truffles with Nutella® filling are exactly the treat you need when you crave tiramisu but are too lazy to make it.

I like to make them and stick them in the freezer, and I just pop them in my mouth whenever I want; it’s awesome.

Ingredients to make no-bake tiramisu truffles with Nutella® filling:

Mascarpone: There is no tiramisu without mascarpone, and this recipe follows that rule.

Coffee: I’m making coffee the old way with the Moka pot. If you don’t know what it is, you’re clearly not Italian, but you can buy one here- link

Cookies: For the classic tiramisu, I make my own cookies, check the recipe here, but for this version, the dry AF store-bought version is better.

Sugar: I prefer powdered sugar since it’s a no-bake recipe.

Nutella(optional): I know Nutella is evil, but it’s so amazing as the filling of these truffles. Sorry if I’m hurting your feelings.

How to make no-bake tiramisu truffles with Nutella® filling:

You don’t need a culinary degree to make these tiramisu truffles, so we’ll keep it nice and short.

  1. To start, I’m gonna fill a pastry bag with Nutella and pop it in the fridge. This will make our life easier when we fill the cookies.
  2. Next, grab the store-bought lady fingers, and crumble them like breadcrumbs. Use a blender or fill a ziplock bag and smash the cookie with the rolling pin. It’s pretty fun.
  3. Then, place the mascarpone in a large bowl and loosen it up using a whisk. When it’s nice and smooth, add the powdered sugar, little by little, to avoid clumps.
  4. After incorporating all the sugar, add the ladyfingers crumble, the coffee, and the rum and mix until smooth. Place the dough in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  5. Take the dough and the Nutella out, grab a tiny piece of dough and flatten it in the palm of your hand. Fill the dough with the Nutella, then close it into a ball. Repeat the process until you finish the dough.
  6. Place the tiramisu truffles into the freezer for an hour, then roll them into dutch processed cocoa powder. The freezing before rolling helps maintain a nice round truffle.

How to store no-bake tiramisu truffles with Nutella® filling:

Store the tiramisu truffles in an airtight container and leave them in the fridge for up to five days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

FAQ:

How can I substitute mascarpone?

Sometimes mascarpone is hard to find, and I have successfully substituted it with cream cheese and sour cream. If your recipe calls for 200 grams of mascarpone, you can use 100grams of cream cheese and 100 grams of sour cream instead.

What’s the difference between dutch cocoa powder and regular?

Dutch cocoa powder has a richer and more intense flavor, but if you only have regular cocoa powder, you can definetely use it.

Ladyfingers are hard to find; what’s the best alternative?

You can easily replace ladyfingers with Nila wafers or graham crackers.
